Screen fault and Hard reset #fp4

The screen on my #fp4 stopped responding and then started to pixelate with flashing vertical lines.

Anyone advise if this is a known fault?

Is it hardware or software related?

Any fixes?

I have removed the battery to attempt a hard restart but no change. The screen is now too dark to read.

Is there a factory reset function?

I have tried to access recovery mode by holding the on/off button with the volume up button, the phone vibrated but the screen is still blank.

Fairphone support have not responded

All help appreciated

I would start with dismantling the phone to see if its just a contact issue. How to do a factory reset described here
