(rooted Fp2) Droid VNC server: how to grant root privileges?

Hi,

I want ot use droid VNC server on my FP2, which needsd root privileges
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.onaips.vnc (why? → How To | Droid VNC Server | Open Source)

My FP2 is rooted (https://forum.fairphone.com/t/pencil2-howto-root-with-superuser-for-fp-os-with-gms/12375)

But I can’t start the droid vnc server probably because of missing root privileges for this app – in contrast to other programs which need these privileges there was no pop-up for granting this rights to this app.

Therefore: how can I do this? Granting root privileges to specific apps?

Thanks!

Are you sure the app is getting to the stage where it needs root to continue? There seem to be quite some issues on the github page regarding running the app on Lollipop (for example issues 107, 117 and 119), and the play store version hasn’t been updated since 2012…
