Roaming not working / Dutch APN not correct

Hi all,
I was one of the first to receive the new FP5 and I’m very happy with it.
I did trouble with using my FP abroad and it turned out the roaming APN was not configured correctly. Not sure who is responsible for the right APN, the phone manufacturer of telecom provider (in my case Vodafone/Hollandsnieuwe). I never had trouble with other phones out of the box.
Hope this message is of use to someone with similar problems.

Regarding their notes on the website:

  • Kies de app Instellingen.

  • Kies Netwerk en internet.

  • Kies Simkaarten.

  • Tik op de naam van je provider

  • Als Mobiele gegevens uitgeschakeld is, schakel Mobiele gegevens in

  • Als Mobiele gegevens ingeschakeld is, doe je hier niets

Scroll naar onderen

  • Kies Toegangspunten.

  • Tik rechtsboven op de +

Je komt dan in Toegangspunt bewerken

  • Bij Naam, voer hollandsnieuwe in.

  • Bij APN, voer live.vodafone.com in.

  • Bij Proxy, voer niets in.

  • Bij Poort, voer niet in.

  • Bij Gebruikersnaam, voer vodafone in.

  • Bij Wachtwoord, voer vodafone in.

  • Scroll naar beneden.

  • Bij MCC, voer 204 in.

  • Bij MNC, voer 04 in.

  • Bij Verificatietype, vink PAP aan.

  • Kies Type toegangspunt.

  • Als dit scherm verschijnt, voer default,supl in (let op: in kleine letters) en kies OK.

  • Verschijnt dit scherm niet, vink Internet aan en kies OK.

  • Bij APN-protocol, vink IPV4 aan.

  • Bij APN-roamingprotocol, vink IPV4 aan.

Heel belangrijk

  • Kies nu het opties-symbool (hamburgermenu rechtsboven in het scherm)

  • Kies Opslaan.

  • Vink in de lijst met APN’s hollandsnieuwe aan.

Ik kan het niet voor je testen, ik heb Youfone.

Dank voor je reactie. Het was me al gelukt. Ik wilde dit melden voor als anderen hetzelfde probleem hebben.

Are the settings I mentioned the right one?

In my case, the settings were already preconfigured on the phone (and cannot be modified) exactly as you specified. The only difference is the profile name: “Internet” instead of “hollandsnieuwe”.

Ik heb alleen live.vodafone.com en 2x vodafone ingevoerd voor user en password, de rest op ‘auto’ of ‘default’ laten staan. Toen werkte het.
