Hello. My USB-C cable is broken at the end point. Does it make sense to send in the cable to Fairphone for recycling/repair?
I assume you’re referring to a cable you purchased directly from Fairphone, such as one of their long life cables (which, I guess, would be an ironic name in your case)? If you’re still within warranty, you can consider filing an RMA request with support, if not, just drop it off at your local facilities. I don’t think anyone’s in the business of repairing USB-C cables, quite frankly.
Yes, it is the FairPhone cable. I got it in 2022, so I assume the warranty is over. Is that right?
Yes, that warranty would have expired in 2024. They do offer an extended warranty, but only for their phones and audio products, and only if you register them in advance.
