As the topic says, I’m considering replacing the scratched camera covers on my fp5 with sapphire glass. Is there anyone here who knows how the covers are currently attached to the top unit and what the best way of removing them would be?

just to make sure I did not misunderstood, you want to replace the part that belongs to the top unit, not the actual camera?
Not sure if that is feasible.

The cameras are fine, and apart from the top units scratched lens covers the top unit is also fine. I’m a watchmaker by trade so I have basically free access to sapphire crystals that I can cut to size and replace the originals with but I want to make sure I don’t unnecessarily damage my top unit while replacing the glass.
