Remove Selfie Camera without replacing?

Hey Folks

Just like many people cover their laptop camera due to safety and privacy concerns and against involuntary third party access, I went all radical and completely removed the selfie camera on the fp5, because it’s so easy! The issue: The Camera App seems to check if the selfie camera is working when booting, making the camera app and the front camera basically unusable. Is there any plugin file i can add to change something about this? Maybe I did something wrong when reconnecting the B2B connector? The Flashlight also does not work, whereas top / ear speakers close to the selfie camera does work.

When I try to make a call, I get an error message:

Original: Der Anruf kann nicht ausgehen, da es keine Anrufkontne gibt, die Anrufe dieses Typs unterstützen.
Translated: > The call cannot go out because there are no call accounts that support calls of this type.

Update: With another app (for chatting), one of the backsite camera works!

Why don’t you just reinstall the camera, but put a tiny piece of (black) paper between the camera and the screen?

didn’t feel quite well installing any foreign objects into the device, especially when they are flammable or electroststatically chargable.

Update: With another app (for chatting), one of the backsite camera works!

next update: needed to reinstall the camera because mobile web won’t work without it, lol.

a very tiny piece of PVC Insulation Tape?

Ofcourse there will be a small risk of the tape leaving residue if you wanted to make it undone in the future.
