Questions before buying Fairphone 5 e/Os by Murena

Hello!

Had an Fairphone 2 about 10 years ago but the camera was bad and i didnt like the Google stuff... But im thinking about giving it another try with the Fairphone 5 and e/Os by Murena.
I have a few questions before buying it and would really appreciate if anyone could help :slight_smile:

  • Does Android Auto work with e/Os?
  • Did anyone ever try to use Fp5 with an Ethernetcable (in Flightmode)?
  • Any alternative to Apple Pay or Google Pay (that works in Germany)?
  • Anyone using the Murena Cloud and can share his/her experiences?
  • No Fairphone 6 on the horizon that`s worth waiting, right? :slight_smile:

We all here have no insight into Fairphone’s planning. But what is publicly known:
Fairphone 3 – autumn 2019. Fairphone 4 – autumn 2021. Fairphone 5 – autumn 2023.

And just to make sure: The FP5 with /e/OS pre-installed can be bought both in the Fairphone shop as well as in Murena’s shop. However, Murena offers it in more variants (colours, memory, storage).

  1. Android auto is supported in e/os, so it should work.
  2. If you use a working adapter (drivers should support new android versions) then you would have no issues with that setup.
  3. There is none, due to regulations.
  4. I am using it without an account.
  5. Maybe next autumn
