Power button is only working sometimes, where to get a new one?

I have an old Fairphone 3, which I use on vacation for my kid.
the power button now only works sometime. It’s really hard to turn it on.

Is there any way to replace it myself? where do I get spare parts for this?

Thanks a lot

Users have been able to transplant the button(s) from a used FP3 rear module and you might find their reports in this forum. However, I would suggest you look for a complete rear module here right away – it’s easier to change. And if you extract the buttons from a used rear module, the rest of that rear module will be a tough sell.

@Antoine might still have a rear module to offer.

I do, but I am in holidays up to the 19th of August!

Feel free to contact me then by PM if you’re still interested at this time.

As a workaround you could use the fingerprint-sensor to unlock the phone and double-tap the statusbar to lock the phone (in case your OS of choice has this feature). And the Powermenu can be accessed in the quicksettings (again depending on OS of choice).

@Switch which OS does unlock with finger print?
the stock Fairphone Android one, or the /e/ OS ?
That’s a great idea and would enough for using it as a spare phone for my kid

Stock Android does it for sure (never tried /e/OS).

ok, I don’t need to do anything, just use fingerprint. that was easy
