Does anyone know if it is possible to install TWRP on the fairphone 1? I am trying to install opengapps following: ✏ Install OpenGAPPS (Step-by-step guide) but need twrp.
I can’t recall that I ever read someone had ported TWRP for the FP1.
But maybe it would work with the recovery from the inofficial kitkat release
Though I never tested it.
CWM works great on FP1. I use it ever since @chrmhoffmann started porting CM11 to the FP1 (End of 2014).
Does CWM allow you to override the verification check? That seems to be the main thing that is needed:
Important: Uncheck the Zip file signature verification
Yes, there is a toggle (I think somewhere under the “Advanced” option).
Hmmm I tried to install the recovery from here:
but got the following error (this is on linux):
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Move the recovery to your SD card and install CWM via the stock recovery.
