Playing music over Bluetooth stutters when screen is NOT activated

I’m using the lastest Fairphone OS (17.06.4). When I use Spotify or the Google Play Music app to listen to music over Bluetooth (connected to my car radio) the sound stutters irregularly (which is highly annoying). I have noticed the problem goes away by doing 1 of these things:

  1. Activitating the screen. When I enter my pincode the screen will stay on for 2 minutes (because that’s my setting). The music now plays fine. After 2 minutes the screen goes black and the stuttering starts again.
  2. Rebooting the phone. After the phone has been rebooted the stuttering does NOT occur when the screen is off.

Is this a known bug? Are there any better solutions known?
