Does anybody know why this

 - Text
  - Text
  - Text

Sometimes leads to this:

  • Text
  • Text
  • Text

and sometimes to this:

  • Text

  • Text
  • Text

?

It’s quite annoying if you want to use it more than once in a post and it looks different every time.

It might depend on what’s before the list. Cause if you don’t start with a headline, the list isn’t rendered at all:
-Text

Yeah but take a look here:

I don’t see what could possibly be different in the lists.

EDIT: Correction: Only the first sub list is rendered without the additional line break.

Must be a bug in the Discourse software.

Or its meant just for lists without any line breaks, eg:

  • Text
  • Text
  • Text
  • Text
  • Text
  • Text

but if you add a line break after the 3rd “text”:

  • Text

  • Text

  • Text

  • Text

  • Text

  • Text

Can I do an in-post poll?

  • Yes
  • No

Hello,
in a post one can either reply to the post or reply to a reply…
My posts are shown with all the replies just under each other, not in any hierarchy. Is this possible? I have searched the preferences and not found anything.

Posts are always in a chronological order, but if you reply to a post - which is not the one before yours - there will be a symbol on the top right of your post. If you click it you’ll see the post you replied to.

For demonstration purposes I replied to @Stefan’s post above.

One can mention categories now, using the hashtag: e.g. #meta renders into #meta

Let’s try it with spaces: #software:bug-reports #software:fp2-android-5-1

Oh, you actually have to write “#software:bug-reports” and “#software:fp2-android-5-1”.

You just have to write #f and you’ll get #software:fp2-android-5-1 as a suggestion.

I got these suggestions, without them I wouldn’t knew that these “hashtags” are written in such a way.

how does a rating poll work?

It seems it calculates the mean of the rating values, I tried to change the vote from 1 to 4 and it increments the rating a bit between the first choice and the last one

Very handy

(this is a joke, don’t take content in this thread serious; we are testing forum features here)

So whatever the result is what we will get? :stuck_out_tongue:

yes, at the moment we will start working on Android 5.2
But may of course change as new people vote

Now it’s 5.4! :stuck_out_tongue:
We need more effort from Google in order to stay on pace with the poll
Bye! :slightly_smiling:
