Physical SIM connectivity issues

As of yesterday, just before the most recent security update, I was having some minor connectivity issues with my SIM. I thought the update might fix it, but instead I now have no connectivity whatsoever, regardless of the number of restarts / reseating of the SIM, etc. Seems Iā€™m not the only one. I hope that a solution comes soon.

Can you please add your provider and confirm you only use only a physical SIM or also an eSIM? Did you contcat your provider, as your issues already started before the update?

I am in Germany with Yourfone which uses the O2 network and exclusively a physical SIM. I contacted the provider but I have a feeling it is a Fairphone issue, as I never had any similar issues in 5 years with my old Samsung galaxy and the same provider.

I did try resetting my mobile network settings and this has brought some success, though I have had to do it multiple times. Right now connectivity has returned using this method:

Fairphone:

Reset Mobile Network Settings

On your Fairphone, go to to Settings ā†’ System ā†’ Reset options.
Tap on Reset Mobile Network Settings ā†’ Reset settings
If you have a PIN or password, enter it.

Please keep in mind that the workaround above will reset all mobile network settings, including any manually set APN settings. If needed, check our support article to set these up again: Manually set APN(s).

Thanks for adding the details. I have a Simplytel SIM in the Telefonica network and dont have and never had any connectivity issues with any FP I had in the past 8 years.

I opened a new topic as I dont think the issues are the same.

Great idea. For now the above solution has worked for me. If this should change I will keep updating this thread.
