LineageOS 23.0 is out for FP4 and since yesterday on my phone. Everything works fine so far. A big Thank you to all developers!

Have more people tried to update/install LOS 23? I would love to give it a try but the last time I upgraded Lineage (22.1 to 22.2) I had a severe battery degradation ( LineageOS 22 FP4 - #26 by Jorritn ). I could hardly get through the day, which I obviously don’t want again 
Been running LineageOS 23 for three months now and I am really happy. Everything works and the battery life is perfectly fine.

Do you have GAPPS or MicroG installed?
What does it mean “battery life is perfectly fine”? Do you charge over night?
There are a lot of threads in this forum and also /e/os where people experience massive battery drain with several OS (Lineage, /e/os, Fairphones Android).
I experienced battery drain with LOS 22.2 and LOS 23 (both with MicroG). Over night for example. Flight mode on, WiFi off and it loses 20 - 30%.
With /e/os i didn’t have this problems.

I mentioned the battery life because in the past I have had a similar experience as you.
Now I can use my FP4 throughout the day with losing 40-50% of battery if I don’t use my phone very intensively.
The battery drain problems started in my case after upgrading from LOS 22.0 (from the top of my mind) to 22.2, with GAPPS. Back then, I have tried many things to resolve it, including airplane modes, battery saving mode, switching cellular data mode (4G, 5G etc.), factory reset, clean reinstall. Finally, it was resolved after I installed CalyxOS. Some others mentioned that had worked for them, when they had similar problems, also with the official FPOS.
Then there were the problems with the CalyxOS developers, where you may have read about. I stayed at unmaintained CalysOS for a while until LOS 23 was released. Then I installed LOS 23 with GAPPS and it was a big releave that the battery problems did not come back. Recently, I upgraded to LOS 23.2 and still everything is fine.
23.2-20260318 here, and the only issue I see is that the battery charge control doesn’t seem to function as expected. It’s set to 80%, and when powered up is inconsistent. Booting at 88% for example, it’ll still be drawing current, but will after some time back off and go into maintenance at about 85%. When the phone is powered down. though, it’s always full steam ahead to 100%.
it’s a software-dependent feature, so it won’t work while the phone is off.
Yes, disappointing that it doesn’t have lower level access, but the issue still stands about the powered on charge level inconsistency. It was powered up this morning at 80% and kept slowly losing until at 73% I rebooted it. It then slowly gained to 75% and stopped.
I see part of the problem. The phone sometimes loses the ability to sense power state, so while plugged in it will suddenly think it’s unplugged. Cycling the actual power doesn’t restore its sensing, it takes a reboot of the phone to properly sense it again.
