Notifications - sort by date (?!)

Hello everyone, I know this topic is somewhere on the forum but I think it doesn’t get enough attention.

I moved from decade long iOS only adventure to Android half a year ago. While I enjoy many aspects of this, including Fairphone experience, there’s one thing that I think is absolutely bonkers: notifications.

I get many of them, and few times a day I get some notification on my watch, can’t or don’t read it, I go to my phone, pull down, just to realize this notification is somewhere down the list, in the middle of it, in what seems to be a total random place.

I get it’s some sort of “sort by priority” thing, but it’s just insane.

On iOS notifications are grouped per app, but the group always gets on top when there’s something new, so groups are chronologically sorted. When I get new push message, I can pull down and see that push message as a first item on the list. ALWAYS.

Here it makes absolutely no sense to me (see screenshot, this is a middle of the whole list, before some push messages from days ago!

I also know that’s the default, “plain” Android behavior and there’s no factory setting to change it. Also no app to change it since apps have no access to that.

But I also know that some OEMs do offer it. I saw it at some phones of my friends.

Then, official request: dear Fairphone engineers, please add this in the next version, and make me like this thing fully.

Thanks for your ideas. But Fairphone engineers can not be addressed through this user forum.
For requests to Fairphone please contactsupport
(Although in history FP has always kept close to default Android behaviour; so I’ll doubt they’ll change this).
