Same issue for me. I just switched to Ice, but noe i’ve noticed i cant call anymore. Sometimes it works on wifi. I would love to know from either ICE or Fairphone if a solution f in the works before i commit to switching to something else. Ice just told me to get a new phone…
More info: I seem to get volte when I am on the ice+ “home network”, but they use Telenor when ice’s own infrastructure is not present. It may be that volte doesn’t work there.
ICE already answered your question from their point of view in no unclear terms, it would seem.

I have a Fairphone 6 which just displays “Unknown” on all callers when using VoLTE. Came here hoping to find out if there are other Fairphone 6 users in Norway who have a carrier which fully supports VoLTE on Fairphone 6. None list it as supported, but hoping someone knows of one which works anyway.

I have Onecall (Telia). My experience with Telenor/ICE that they do not support Fairphones
Same issue here with Fairphone 6 when using Ice. I’m able to use 4G/5G, but not able to call or send messages. I have spoken with Ice, and I was told that Fairphone will have to reach out to Ice, for fairphones to have VoLTE support through Ice.
I have contacted Fairphone support about this: They are currently investigating the problem, and will reply when they have more information.
Fairphone 4 here - I was struggling with this for a month now but have it resolved now so thought I’d just share my experience. I had ice and couldn’t make phonecalls or send messages. I spend a lot of time trying to talk to Ice customer service to find a solution, nothing worked so I changed to happybites after I saw @Blip ‘s post. Unfortunately it didn’t get resolved after switching to happybites either. I was able to receive messages, have access to the internet but calling from and to my phone was not working. Every time I tried calling I would loose network. They had me try with a physical sim card as well, but it was just a waste of time.
What ended up working is switching to Chilimobil. They seemed to offer the cheapest plan while using Telia’s network (which is the only network supported on fairphone 4 as written on the link that @AnotherElk posted). I made the switch today and now everything just works, finally.

I switched to Chilimobile (Telia network) away from ICE today, and everything seems to be working OK (VoLTE, 5G, 4G,…). The Happybytes (Telenor network) also works if you disable VoLTE and use 2G only. I guess Happybytes will be working until Telenor turns off the 2G in 2027
