No voicemail symbol

The voicemail symbol has never been active on my FP2. Can anyone help? I get a text message when I have an answerphone message, but no symbol. I then have to dial separately, i.e. I can’t connect directly to voicemail.

Hopefully this isn’t too complicated but I can’t work out on my new FP2 how to link my voicemail number (443 on giffgaff) so that it is dialled automatically when I pull down and press the new voicemail icon from the notifications bar (which currently says “voicemail number unknown”). Any help appreciated, thanks!

Cannot make voicemail notification disappear

Hello I’m having this problem too: the notifications in the lock screen always show ‘new voicemail’ but everytime I call there is no voicemail there. It’s annoying because when I am on a train and go into a place with no signal, then out again, it constantly chimes to say I have a message. It’s being sent from the Phone app and I’ve tried turning notifications off. Help us!

I still haven’t found a way to solve this. Despite having had multiple voicemail messages left in the past month, a notification symbol has never yet appeared. Is this normal? Can anyone from the forum help?
