I haven’t yet found out in what circumstances this happens but I have repeatedly found myself in the situation that I wanted to use NFC but it was deactivated. I never do this manually. Has anyone else encountered this?

I did with my previous FP. The one I have now didn’t do that yet. But I haven’t had a high uptime yet. Maybe it’s a bug that’s triggered over time.
Is it possible that you sometimes access diagnostic tools (*#*#2886#*#*)? For some reason, opening them will disable NFC.

I do and you are right. It also seems to deactivate auto brightness. Thank you for solving that mystery!
