As Android 7 is officially out now, is there a new modem.zip that can be used for alternatives OS (Lineage, etc.)?
a.o. this bug could be solved by an update of aboot, is this included in modem.zip?

That’s a good question.
I downloaded and extracted the current modem.zip and the updater-script contains this line
package_extract_file("firmware-update/emmc_appsboot.mbn", "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/aboot");
Sounds to me that it would be there if the file got updated.
I asked this last night, but doesn’t seem like there is any update - probably owing to the fact that the SOC is no longer supported
Ok that makes sense : the modem files were not updated except the “aboot”.
So from you findings @Ingo, we may be able to generate a modem.zip with only “aboot” different from the previous one
The new aboot fixes the issue which prevented powering on the phone while on charger.
