New FP4, starts in Android Recovery mode, why? Warranty?

Hi,
this is a new Fairphone 4.
After unboxing turned on by power button, it shows:

Android Recovery
Fairphone/FP4eea/FP4
12/SKQ1.220201.001/SP29
User/release-key
Use volume up/down an power.
Cannot load Android system. Your data may be corrupt.
If you continue to get this message, you may need to perform
a factory data reset and erase all user data stored on this
device.

  • Try again

  • factory data reset

Also when plugging in with USB-C to load, this screen shows up.

Is this a warranty case?
Does the phone lose warranty, when doing “factory data reset”?
What to do?

Thank you!

Where did you buy the phone? Seems its still on A12? A factory reset would not void warranty I guess, still I would report to whereever you bought it.

Thanks. Shop said the same, just do a factory reset. Than it was possible to start FP4’s Android 12.
