Hello. I have been trying to charge my Fairphone 4, unsuccessfully. When I try to turn it on, I briefly see an icon with a plug crossed out and an empty battery. While I assume this means the charging port is not working, I can’t find any mention of it in support pages.
Has anyone else experienced this, and have I done the right thing by ordering a new charging port?

I have no experience with this problem myself. The symbol indicates that it is not loading properly.
Before replacing the charging port, you should try cleaning it and trying a different cable and power adapter.
My wife’s phone just had this problem, after falling flat on the floor. We took out the speakers module and checked the USB port cable. It seemed to be attached, but maybe not well enough. We detached and reattached it anyway. This seems to have solved the problem.
