Today my FP2 has started turning itself off all the time, even when I’m not using it, just noticing when I pick it up I have to sign with my pin code again. I’ve had the phone for three weeks. My surftime has ran out, but I have Wifi where I am, and that shouldn’t have anything to with phone turning off.
Have a look at this:

Mine has started rebooting on a regular basis as well. I’ve tried a factory reset and it doesn’t seem to help. Its rebooted about 15 times today so far. Last night the touch stopped working so I couldn’t enter my pin after a reboot, it took a lot of attempts before it would respond. Bit dissapointed.
Quick question, does anyone have the Peace of Mind thing on theirs? Mine doesn’t apart from once today when it randomly rebooted I could see it…
Have you installed the latest software updates already?
When you make pictures with the default camera, the images are stored locally, on your device (in /storage/sdcard0/DCIM/Camera). If you don’t like the Google app you can install a third party gallery to see them.
Hey guys,
I owned the Fairphone 1. To finance the Fairphone 2 I sold my first edition and ordered the FP2. In the meantime I borrowed a iPhone from a friend. I really liked the picture viewer app where all pictures are in a row and without different folders for every app etc. Is there an iOS-like app for android available? any suggestions?
Some people also use a third party app for making pictures and are more satisfied with the results than with making pictures with the default camera app.
I’m trying to find the best solution for my photographic needs and tried some of the available options. None of them is satisfying me completely, so I thought some of you could share their experience.
The options:
Preinstalled
Google Camera
Comes preinstalled on the FPOS and provides a limited amount of settings.
Pros
very stable
nice UI
Cons
closed source
can’t use volume buttons for zooming
Available on F-Droid
FreeDcam
Libre Camera
Open Camera
In this forum it’s often discussed as a go…
Also note that some software updates improved the image quality.
