My old charger ok for FP2?

I got an old LG Travel Adapter Model STA-U12ED with MicroUSB, 5.1V 0.7A

The FP2 accessoire charger specs for EU say 5.0V 1.0A

I’m only curious if this could create any issues.

That charger should be fine. 0.7 A means that the battery might be charged slower than with a charger that provides a current of 1 A.

  • 0.7A should not be a problem, only charging time will be longer in comparison to 1.0A
  • 5.1V instead of 5.0V COULD be a problem. But I think it is inside some tolerance und plus I think FP has some kind of voltage limiter/fuse for security reasons…
just crawling around I find my thoughts confirmed in this forum…as also Wikipedia knows: “The specification provides for no more than 5.25 V and no less than 4.75 V (5 V ± 5%)”

So I think also you are safe with this charger, because it is a USB charger it has to be certified by the USB specifications with which also the FP2 has to be compatible…
