My new fairphone blocked in bootloop

I just receive my FP5 but after charging it, I tried to turn it on but it is blocked in bootloop…
I tried recovery mode, wipe the data, wait an entire night with the battery out of the phone but nothing. Not much helped from the support for now…
Any idea ?

Did you put a SIM card in your phone? In which country are you and who is your provider?

Thanks for you reply, I tried with and without SIM card (Orange), neither worked.
I’m in France and I bought the phone on the Fairphone webshop
And the phone came with Munera OS

That’s called /e/ os and not munera os. murena made it tho

Yes exactly sorry for the confusion

Perhaps it’s an idea to ask for help at the forum for /e/OS the Fairphone section.

If it’s a new phone, I’d just order a new one and send the old one back as it sounds like a brick. Certainly the quickest way to get it solved for you and they can figure out what’s wrong with the old one without need for difficult troubleshooting through customer.

You seem to be not alone with this…

I had the same problem: I got a new Fairphone 5 and it has been stucked on a boot screen since very first start. I contacted Fairphone support and told them I want to send the phone back and immediately ordered another Fairphone 5.

I had to wait for the money return a bit longer than I would prefer, but that was a minor issue.

The second phone worked (and still works) flawlessly
