Microphone Choice?

I understand that there are three mics on an FP4. I find that, inadvertently, I often cover the mic used during calls (the one on the opposite side to the buttons). Does anyone know of a way to reassign which mic is used for calls? Ideally I’d like to use the bottom one.

Call quality and noise cancellation (regular calls, handsfree, Signal voice messages, Microsoft Teams video calls)

Just published fp4-low-volume-fix. It fixes the low volume issue by raising TX_DEC0 Volume locally in <path name="handset-mic">. This tells the audio HAL to automatically raise bottom mic level when a recording starts, and to revert it back to default when the recording is finished. Thus we don’t break regular phone calls. No guarantee for anything. I’ve not even tested the Magisk module installer procedure, but copied the repo content to /data/adb/modules/fp4-low-volume-fix manually. If some o…

Thank you for that advice and help. I really appreciate it.
However, I’m very unimpressed that I might have to root the phone just to make it work as a phone so I’ll prob sell it & go to something that actually works reliably.
