Using the messages app, seems I can only turn notifications on or off. Turned on, the Phone gives a bleep on each sms. But I do want a notification in the top bar, but no sound.
No function to change the signal tone either.
Anyone found a solution?
Use Settings -> Device: Sound & Notifications (german: “Ton & Benachrichtigungen”) -> Standard sound for Notifications -> In Media Storage choose first option: “None”
As an alternative to completely switching off, you can change notification volume and/or vibration setting using F-Droid’s app “Sound Manager” (com.roozen.SoundManagerv2). You can also set a schedule for sound volume.
