Regularly my fp1 losses Connection to the Telko provider, i. e. no SMS or calls are received but there is no indikation. After Restart of the Phone Connectivity is okay again.
I don’t have a solution for you but an idea for a quicker workaround: Try putting your phone in flight mode and out again. This often does the same as a reboot in similar situations.

How old is your SIM card? If it’s over a year or so, try to get a new one.
