My FP3 dropped out of my coat pocket onto asphalt without me noticing. But a kind motorist noticed, picked it up and chased after me on my e-Bike. Was I thankful to have it back! Because of the rubber bumper it looked no worse for wear. At home, I heard it beep from an incoming message but the display remained dark. A blind phone! But a Fairphone. Repair it yourself, they say. So I tried. Open the back, remove the battery, find the original screwdriver 
, remove 13 screws, click our the display module, check all looks clean and good, replace the display module, screws and battery. And it worked as before! Thank you Fairphone.
