My dad wants to switch from Samsung to a FP5 and wants to continue using apps like the Samsung Calendar or the Notes App. Is there a way to run these apps on the Phone?
I personaly do not have any experience with e/OS or other alternative operating systems.
And if not, maybe you have some good suggestions for alternatives.
many OEM apps straight up don’t work on other versions of Android because they interact with some custom modifications of the OEM’s OS. still, you could try looking for the .apk files on APKMirror and give them a shot. if they don’t work, then XDA Developers would be the second place to try your luck with, I know some people used to modify some OEM apps to work across all devices.
