Hi,
yes, The FP4 is encrypted by default. This is the same for any Android phone released in the last years. Just set up a pattern/PIN/password and your data should be safe.

So be careful if you use an SD card and format it as Internal as it will be encrypted too and you will not be able to read your data etc. in any other device
