Given the number of operating systems available for the Fairphone, it’s tempting to try them out.
On the Volla Phone you can easily set up a multi‑boot system that lets you choose between Volla OS, Ubuntu Touch and Sailfish OS when switching on the device. On the PinePhone you can even select from up to 14 operating systems at startup.
Is there a similar option for the Fairphone 6 (or previous models)? (I couldn’t find anything in the forum – I hope that doesn’t answer it.)
No, unfortunately there isn’t.
There was a multiboot option for the FP2. But only for a limited time and for no other FP model.
I have a configuration on my old Tablet where linux PostmarketOS is installed to run from the SDcard, and android /e/OS to run from usual internal memory,
I can switch between both by just flashing a different boot.img (stored on the SDcard and on internal)
Is it possible to do this with any OS on any phone?
