All the firmware gets extracted from the original releases, so if there are any flaws in it, they will exist in every LOS based ROM, I would say.
This does not mean that I personally agree or disagree with the linked scenario, I don’t see me as capable of judging it. Luckily I am part of the group of people whoms biggest concerns are companies like Google, not governments.
