(Former) Fairphone users wanted for improved customer experience

Hi!

Are you a Fairphone user, or did you switch because you were dissatisfied? For my research at TU Delft into customer satisfaction at Fairphone, I’m looking for both perspectives.

I want to understand how Fairphone can better showcase its community and improve its service. Would you have time for an online interview?

Important: The interview will be in Dutch, so I’m specifically looking for Dutch-speaking participants.

Why are you targeting Dutch people only for this?

Hi! Thank you for your question. For this project, I have chosen to focus specifically on Dutch participants as this is a relatively small-scale study. I had to make strategic choices regarding the scope. Since Dutch is my native language, conducting the interviews in Dutch allows me to capture the subtle nuances and emotional depth that might otherwise be lost in translation. Furthermore, this approach ensures a homogeneous sample in terms of cultural background, which helps in narrowing the focus and increasing the reliability of the data.

That being said, I certainly value diverse perspectives and aim to include international participants in a future stage of my research. Please let me know if you are interested in participating in a later stage! It would be really helpfull aswell :smile:

You can find details about user dissatisfaction in the forum posts already and should be able to aggregate, cluster and organizing that feedback in actionable steps.

So what you are saying is to deny someone part of their education. Wow!

That will be the effect when people follow your advice. Plain and simple.

Here is someone doing a research as part of their studies. More precisely as their “afstudeerstage” (“Abschlusspraktikum” in German, “Final internship” in English I guess). Not being able to do that means no final degree.

Edit: I’m with you and others that Fairphone as a company has given plenty of reason for dissatisfaction and it would be nice to get more frequent official communication about “all that’s wrong at the moment” about their products and services.
But to take this out on someone who has to do a certain type of research as requested by their university I find very low.

In my opinion, your post illustrates why frustrated forum rants are not a suitable data basis for serious research.

Besides that, there seems to be an inconsistency: you attribute ill intent to FP and/or the OP, yet feel offended when ill intent is attributed to you.

This is a good opportunity to briefly remind everyone of our forum guidelines:

What you call serious research can be as manipulative and nonscientific approach as the opinion of a frustrated customer in a forum @yvmuell

Anyway, if anyone really want to know what theres inside the “participative spheres” about a product or service, the researcher can conduct any kind of qualitative method such a content analysis, interviews or focus group… @pocketyeller

So, yeah, any person willing to participate to generate a bare minimum “frame” about Fairphone should be do it!!!

Je bent op zoek naar gebruikers,maar dat ben ik niet . Ik ben wel bezig geweest met info in te winnen waar ik een combinatie van Fairphone 6 en Fairbuds XL kan horen om er achter te komen of deze combinatie geschikt is voor mij .Ik ben nl. slecht horend . Tot nu toe ben ik daarin niet geslaagd en het hoofdkantoor in Amsterdam gaf geen antwoord waarmee ik uit de voeten kan. Ik weet niet of je mijn ervaring ook nodig hebt bij je onderzoek.

Dag @kjan , wat vervelend om te horen dat je tot nu toe niet echt een duidelijk antwoord hebt gekregen waar je iets mee kunt.

Omdat je aangaf dat je slechthorend bent, is het misschien interessant om te weten dat de Fairphone 6 het ASHA-protocol ondersteunt voor direct streamen naar hoortoestellen. Mocht dat relevant voor je zijn, dan kun je de technische details daarover nog eens nalezen in onze FAQ.

Wat betreft het testen van de combinatie met de Fairbuds XL: we hebben vanuit het hoofdkantoor helaas geen live overzicht van welke winkels exact een demo-model van beide producten hebben klaarliggen. Je kunt het beste via onze verkooppagina even kijken welke partner bij jou in de buurt zit en hen direct een berichtje sturen of bellen om te vragen of ze op display staan.

Een andere goede optie is om eens bij een Community Meetup binnen te lopen. Fairphone heeft namelijk alle meetup-organisatoren voorzien van de nieuwe Fairbuds XL, juist zodat de community ze tijdens deze bijeenkomsten in alle rust kan uitproberen om te horen of het voor hen werkt.
