Installing e/os via Mac OSX

Hi,

I want to install e/OS via Mac OSX on a Fairphone4.
As there isn´t something like the easy-installer-App for Windows, I tried to follow
this Guide and do it manually.

By now I managed to:

Reboot on fastboot
(Step 5 at “unlocking the bootloader”)

adb reboot bootloader

but Step 6
Ask for unlock with fastboot flashing unlock
doesn´t work

fastboot flashing unlock
FAILED (remote: 'Flashing Unlock is not allowed
')

I´m not quite sure if OEM unlock (through developer Options)
was succesful, after entering the code, the switch remains
on the left side ⟜
and doesn´t jump to the right side ⊸

By trying to enable OEM Unlock through the command line it says

fastboot devices
(serial-Nr) fastboot

fastboot oem unlock
FAILED (remote: ‘unknown command’)

I would be thankful for any help,
cheers,
davelow

Hi and welcome. Is OEM unlock greyed out under developer settings so you cannot enable it? Is there any error message? Is the FP connected to the internet?
Please see here as well

What does get_unlock_ability turn out 1 or 0?

If the switch remains on the left side OEM unlocking wasn’t enabled.
Make sure you are connected to the internet when entering the code, otherwise it won’t work. If you generate a new code, all old codes are getting invalidated, so no use in trying one of those.
There will be a little toast popup at the bottom of the screen to notify you about success or errors that might have happened.

fastboot flashing unlock is the right command, fastboot oem unlock does nothing.

Thank you very much yvmuell & hirnsushi, the missing wifi-connection was the problem. My FP now runs on e/OS!
