I switched from Realme to Fairphone for my next phone this year! However, one thing I really miss is the concise control center (link to image, they’ve revised it some more, but this should do).
I’d really appreciate at least the option to enable a view that allows me to see more options per page, as I feel the current control center is rather wasteful in space.
Google didn’t see it that way when they introduced the current layout in standard Android 12 to much excitement and elation of many users (a bit of sarcasm may be hidden somewhere).
Fairphone’s OS traditionally stays very close to standard Android.
Since then, everything else looking approximately like your screenshot is either Android 11 max., or an OS customisation deviating from standard Android, or the work of an App … I don’t use any for this purpose, but I’ve seen mentions of Shortcutter Quick Settings as well as Power Shade. Beware that the latter seems to be currently provided by infamous adware provider ZipoApps.
Fair enough, don’t expect FP to put in the effort of maintaining a Android-diverging UI change, so guess Android/Google is to blame really. Unfortunate as it’s rather clunky, but I’ll hope for the off-chance they’ll implement
AOSPxpert allows to modify Androids UI, including the quicksettings (size and amount of tiles per page). However, this is rather hacky, since you need to root your device for this to work.
Thanks for the suggestion! I don’t feel the pain is large enough for me to deal with a rooted device, but maybe someone else will be happy to know that
