Ics visa requires customers to use an authentication app from ics. Initiating it is a real pain, as you have to use the app to create ‘perfect’ pictures of your passport. After taking that and many more hurdles, ics reviewed the initialisation process and declined it because “fairphone is made in china and thus not to be trusted with a credit card authentication app”. Anyone else experienced this iphone blackmail crap?

I went through this process just last week and received approval of my application. No problems except I had to take the picture of my ID card maybe 3 times.
Which operating system are you using, the normal Fairphone OS or /e/?
