I don’t agree with this conclusion because security is something everyone needs to work together. 
It depends on good designs from hardware and software companies, as well as good behaviors from users. 
Just changing phones frequently doesn’t guarantee security because it might not give software companies enough time to fix security issues. 
Security is a complicated problem that needs everyone in the system to be involved. 
Plus, Fairphone has been doing a good job supporting security updates for a long time.
