Help recycle FP2 from Taiwan

Hi Fairphone forum:

I was a rare (if not only) Fairphone 2 user in Taiwan from August 2018, until I switch to Fairphone 4 in around April 2023 (proud to skip the whole FP3 generation). My FP2 was shipped to my friend who studied dentistry in Spain at that moment, and handed to me while he returned to Taiwan on holidays. It had had me accompanied for more than 4 years. They were good memories. I’m ready to say goodbye to my old friend.

At this moment, my Fairphone 2 still turns on but is in poor condition. Both batteries drop fast and the upper screen area turns yellowish. However, I’m pretty sure the cameras are fine. Wonder if there is anyone in Europe that can help me recycle this phone (or take the modules if you need). I’ll try to send the phone to you, or we can meet up if you happen to be coming to Taiwan for a trip.

Much thanks if you can help. Reply or PM if you’d like to know more details. Related chit-chat is always welcomed.

Thank you bud. My FP4 is doing well and I’m dedicated to skip FP5. Hope the agent will still import by that time. Would like to hear the story of your 6-year FP1 as well.

Yeah, I held on to my FP1U for quite a while, but not as long as to my first-ever cell phone, a SonyEricsson k700i – that almost reached the 10 year mark. Both the SE and the FP1U were still fully functional when I replaced them – but by 2021, the FP1’s Android 4.2.2 didn’t really allow much online use anymore  It was about time for my current one, the FP3+
