I’m quite interested in buying a FairPhone 6 but I have some questions.
One main question is about the format of the pictures and the videos taken with the FairPhone 6: can you save the files in HEIC (for pictures) of HEVC (for the videos) ?
I got rid of Google Photos a few years ago and I’m a happy user of Ente, and I save my file to my account with these formats, mainly because it produces smaller files to my account.

Hi and welcome to the community forum 
HEIC / HEVC requires both hardware and software support and I suspect this is not yet available on Fairphones. I’ve seen no mention of it in the stock Camera app settings or in the specs advertised.
However, to be sure you should ask Fairphone directly, probably best to use the live chat or create a support ticket.
There is of course always the possibility of converting native JPEG and other formats before sending the files to cloud storage.
The fairphoe 6 does not support HEIC / HEVC. Or at least not with the stock camera app.
