Right now Fairphone is only producing for and shipping in Europe, this means that to get the phone you would need to have it shipped somewhere within Europe and then carry it back to Brazil or have someone ship it there for you.
Hardly practical.
This is because, as I understand, Fairphone still doesn’t have the infrastructure to handle distribution and support outside the Old Continent.
There might also be issues with the technical specifications, in fact I think that there could be incompatibilities with certain networks different from those in Europe, although this is something I don’t know in details (you can check this recent thread about Fairphone in the US for an idea about outside-Europe compatibility).
However, I don’t think it is much relevant because unless you want to go the double-shipping route, you’ll need to wait for when Fairphone will be available for Brazil.
They have in fact plans to expand to other markets and when they do, the phone will certainly be “compatible”.
In conclusion you have to wait some more time to get a Fairphone, but you’ll certainly get a better, more mature one when it’ll be Brazil’s turn.
