Hardware defect: black screen from boot on

I dropped my Fairphone 3+ from a height of about one meter. It does not have any visible damage, but the screen remains black after switching it on.

Is there any way to repair this?

Welcome to the forum.

Maybe disrupted contacts so disassemble and reassemble the screen. Have you not searched the forum

Dropped my FP3 - display error

Greetings to you all! (Just joined the community…) I dropped my phone this morning, and although the screen has no visible damage, all I can see now are black and grey dots (see picture): [IMG_20200111_074600] Does that mean the display is broken, or could it be another part? Fairphone 3 display malfunction - not usable anymore

@thomi92 I’m surprised at the responses above, but they are a bit old:) as I have noticed other responses that suggest the contacts have become slightly moved and a reassembly may sort it. I will try and find posts to that effect and get back here. UPDATE: Please see and

Hello, today I found time to verify … I disassembled and reassembled the display and now the phone works again. The solution works for me. Thank you.
