Near field (proximity) sensor reacts slowly/hangs up calls

I have an issue with the near field sensor and some functionality around it. It is this sensor that senses that you hold the phone to the ear and after detecting that turns off the display and disables the touch screen. I have had problem that I make a phone call and hold the phone to my ear but at that point the touch screen reacts. I might be a little quick with the move from making the call (pressing the phone symbol) to holding the phone to my ear but I guess it should be able to handle thi…
