It’s live on the store! Priced 549€.

The classic FP5 is now dropped to 629€ as well.

EDIT: they are updating the store. Black edition is now available in “light” edition. Let’s wait a bit, I have been too hasty.

EDIT 2: I’m a bit sad, I wanted the green one with 256GB/8GB :pensive: I’ll take the transparent one I guess.

@Sideness Perhaps you need to find a swapping partner who finds 6GB/128GB enough and is willing to swap motherboards with you? :blush: You might still want to seek absolute certainty, but at first sight, I would think that the motherboard is the only difference (apart from the colour).

EDIT: Might make more sense (warranty-wise, IMEI) to keep motherboards and swap the exteriors.

To summarize,

  • FP4 6Gb was 399€ - now (definitively?) out of stock
  • FP4 8Gb is 449€ (3 colors)
  • FP5 6Gb is 549€ (only black or green)
  • FP5 8Gb is 629€ (all colors except green)

I someone now asks me some advice for buying a “not-too-expensive” fairphone, I’m not sure which will fit better between the FP4 8Gb and FP5 6Gb :thinking:

How viable are 6 GB of RAM in a longevity perspective?

Would the RAM not heavily limit the device after a few years, seeing that most phones now have 8GB or more?

My wife will have the 6GB green version but… She wants to keep the green :wink:
