it bounced itself (with reboot needed) to august 1st 2023 yesterday. do try both, check for updates in there inside “security” and there “google play system update” and “check for update” and inside the google play store app itself as well
“settings”, “about”, and then “play store version” and there “update play store”…
these two layers and mechanisms of android are kind of linked interdependent and building on top of each other or cooperating etc you get the idea…
eventually it updated itself on a FP5
“play store version” for me atm is 37.6.24-29 …
also updates in mass products these days come in waves and are not deployed to the masses all at once and for everybody at the same time.
And a new update for September is available now…
