GNSS (GPS) neglected in Fairphones

I think GNSS (the generic name of GPS) is critical in an smartphone yet you can hardly find any information on the specifications of GPS for any given Fairphone model. I do not understand the GNSS chipset was not designed as an independent module: this is probably the piece that is going to change the most and fastest in smartphones in the coming days. For example, processing dual frequency for GALILEO signals will very significantly improve positioning accuracy and positioning accuracy is very important for navigation. My impression is that current GNSS capabilities of FP3 are already obsolete.

I would also like to mention that only specs but the technologies themselves are important for the quality of geolocation. For instance, Fairphone provides stock GPS, A-GPS (assisted GPS), and EPO (check this for reference), which can make you not worrying about the performance of geolocationing.
