Generally frustrated about product quality

  1. Some years ago I bought a FP 4. It was expensive . Reason was, it could be fixed by myself. But, I didn’t expect, I have to fix it. Because I never broke abother mobile.
    The back of my phone broke, even it has never ever fallen down.
    The battery bloated. Same happend to usere users (if you goggle). Never received a warning from fairphone.
    Every other week or forthnight, my phone disconnets itself fom network, mobile or WLAN. Without any error message. Very annoying, if you’re waiting emails or messages.
    It has to be restarted.

  2. I bought the white Earbuds. They are quite expensive, too. First, it took a while, to connect them to the app. Now, even they connect well with my phone, but with any other device, Smart phone, notebook etc. there are always connection problems. (No problems ever with the green TWS!).

  3. I bought Earbud XL. They are very expensive, too. One of the hangers broke, without any reason. Sparepart was EUR 29 incl. delivery. It happend to other users, too. (if you google)

Software problems, hardware problems …
Some of you may find it minor incidents. Ok.
But my time is too valuable and my pocket not deep enough for another fairphone.

I know the Fairphone support is slow, but why didn’t you even try to use the support to solve your warranty cases?

I do see what the OP means though as even having to go through the effort of contacting support, potentially having to send phone away, maybe even factory reset it and wait for a few weeks, or even in a less bad scenario to be messaging back and forth about an issue and then have to do steps to resolve it…it’s quite a lot of faff and time spent, particularly as most phones people own don’t warrant this! Fairphone is the only phone I have owned that has had me have to do this, every other phone just worked
