Any ETA for official fp6 support? (so we have OTA security updates etc.

It’s hard to say. Stability and feature wise we have already met the charter. However I want to get some chores done before everything is forked to the linesgeos org. This includes some force pushes to clean the commit history up, and that’s not possible anymore once it’s forked (which is a necessary requirement for official builds). These chores don’t affect the usability of the ROM though.

I have been rather busy with a colloquium recently and will be busy with my masters thesis for a while, but I’m sure I’ll get the time to get things done soon - I really can’t give any serious estimated times regarding this, but expect it to still be a few months. If we’re lucky it might as well just be 1-2 weeks though

Featurewise this sounds already really good, so will buy a FP6 then soon and use the unofficial channel then.

Hi,

Amazing work here! I flashed it without troubles!
I am still tweaking some parameters, but I realized my phone is vibrating randomly when locked.
I do not think this problem is tied to LineageOS, though it occurs out of the box, but rather to some silent notifications I am receiving. Has anyone an idea on how I can spot this and which settings I should tweak?

This could be related to the alert slider, can you try to configure it to do nothing in settings → system → buttons → additional buttons? I had also noticed that a week back but unfortunately didn’t get more time to look into it

First, do not feel pressure with regard to the time, you made it clear you wanted to focus on your master thesis and I encourage you doing so!
Thank you! I set both top and bottom positions to “None” to have it doing nothing and the phone no more vibrates randomly.

I lack context for the code, particularly if this code is called regularly or only when the alert switcher is touched, but I am wondering if the following should not be called with false:

Thank you for the feedback and I appreciate you looking at the code! However this particular line is intended to call it with true, the code is only meant to run when the switch position changes and the argument of populateKeyState indicates that a user feedback should be given, which we usually want in this case. It seems like we are catching some more events than i hoped we do there though, i will debug what kind of other events cause the unwanted key state population and push a fixed build soon.

I just want to say thank you and show my appreciation for the time and hard work you have invested into porting LineageOS to the Fairphone 6!

My original plan was to run my Fairphone 6 with the stock OS, but I didn’t knew that it would come with so much stuff from Google! I guess this is common these days? I haven’t used a stock ROM on any phone in ages.

And I didn’t expect the bugs and lack of security updates, but that’s a discussion for another topic.

Can i flash back to stock Fairphone OS (Security patch level: 05 August 2025) ……?

LienageOS 22.2 is on Security patch: 2025-09-01……..

You should be able to flash back without re-locking the bootloader.

As fas Ias I understood the security level needs to be the same or newer on stock when you want to re-lock. (But I could be wrong, as I never re-locked a bootloader in my 13y messing about with Android devices)

Thats correct, and to add: best practice before locking the bootlader is to check get unlock ability is 1.
