You cant really, you can just buy a working used FP5 and use the other one for spare parts

If it’s a green :green_circle: one, the midframe (the big part with the outer aluminium parts) might find interest (green is only available with 128GB/6GB) from existing FP5 users.

that’s a pity. it’s a blue one (in picture below). everything else seems to be working fine though.

Well, I think most people here will agree that you are better off offering the parts here.

A regular replacement of the motherboard is exclusively possible through Fairphone’s repair partner and would be a 200+ Euro job. On top, I would think Fairphone Support would want to verify the legitimacy of the device first (read: make sure it’s not a stolen device).

On a second thought, your sky blue :large_blue_circle: midframe might still find demand. This part is only available though the repair partner as well, and the sky blue FP5 sold out three months ago. So anyone with a sky blue Fairphone 5 with a damaged or worn out midframe would probably welcome an offer like yours.

I find it extremely confusing to hear that

How can a phone be working without a functional motherboard?
It’s like a heart and soul of the phone

I believe this is the part we are talking about. So is it missing or not functional?
