You cant really, you can just buy a working used FP5 and use the other one for spare parts
If it’s a green one, the midframe (the big part with the outer aluminium parts) might find interest (green is only available with 128GB/6GB) from existing FP5 users.
Well, I think most people here will agree that you are better off offering the parts here.
A regular replacement of the motherboard is exclusively possible through Fairphone’s repair partner and would be a 200+ Euro job. On top, I would think Fairphone Support would want to verify the legitimacy of the device first (read: make sure it’s not a stolen device).
On a second thought, your sky blue midframe might still find demand. This part is only available though the repair partner as well, and the sky blue FP5 sold out three months ago. So anyone with a sky blue Fairphone 5 with a damaged or worn out midframe would probably welcome an offer like yours.
I find it extremely confusing to hear that
How can a phone be working without a functional motherboard?
It’s like a heart and soul of the phone
I believe this is the part we are talking about. So is it missing or not functional?
