FP5 RCS IOS and sms/mms

Hi there!
So, I have problems receiving text messages from some IOS users, sometimes. There is no pattern. I am no longer registered for iMessage according to the apple selfsolve page.
Some of my text to iOS users don’t reach them and the -not sent- note doesn’t show up for quite some time. So, I leave the chat and when I don’t get a response I open it and realise it was never sent… This is honestly a bother since most of my contact are iOS users…
Sometimes I can recieve texts but not pictures or links. I have not been able to receive links or pictures for quite some time… but I don’t think I changed anything… I don’t get it really.
Anyone with experience?
I have the same number, unregistered from Apple ID and a new sim, new operator, for the FP5.
All the best!
/Hanna

iOS devices don’t support RCS (yet). So maybe you are trying the wrong protocol for communication?

Yes, I know. Android - iOS communication need old school txting n mms. But it’s text and/or mms that doesn’t work.
So far:
I’ve sent normal text to friend with iPhone. Sees way later note: not sent.
Iphone user tries to send mms to me, but I can’t download it, can’t see it. Accompanied text received however.
Same, I can’t send mms to friend, but accompanied text is received. Not until later I can see under the picture note: not sent.
I’m currently looking at a message I sent earlier today to an iPhone user. under the text there’s a symbol, a timer :stopwatch:. So I assume it is not sent. It’s been 10h…! And later I guess the timer will change into a note saying: not sent.

Beside RCS, are your APN properly set-up for mms (serach online for APN for your provider or ask your provider)? And to avoid issues with RCS set-up there should be SMS Apps that are not able to use it, so maybe deactivate the Google Messages App and test a different one

So far it feels like RCS is just bringing Problems

In stock Messages app, topright icon “Settings/RCS chats” can be disabled
