Camera app - exposure

The exposure can be adapted on the screen while in the photo app. However, all the pictures taken have the same exposure when opening them after. So, the exposure setting does not translate to the saved images. This is extremely frustrating. The pictures are often over exposed and that is difficult to edit. Anyone with experience? Anyone with skills to fix it? Something for development to solve with update?
