FP5: Green flicker when shooting slomo

Anybody else having this issue?

When I shoot slow motion video, the resulting video flickers green and hence is unusable. As if the camera was adding green frames to the footage. See this video to understand what I mean: https://youtube.com/shorts/caVEnlCigBE?feature=share

I have managed to isolate the problem to only happening when I use the camera via the quick opening function (when I open the camera by pressing the power button twice). This doesn’t seem to happen, if I first open the phone normally, then go to camera and then shoot slow motion video.

I am using the latest Android 14 version and all my apps are up to date. There is plenty of space in my hard drive.

This issue first came up in the winter but I didn´t give it any thought, thinking it was only a glitch, but during the spring and this summer I´ve noticed that it is actually systematical when I open the camera via quick open function. I actually asked about it here in November: Weird behaviour FP5 slow mo camera

Then I was adviced not to save the video on SD-card and I thought that was the problem. In hindsight I think that only helped then because after changing the save location I used the camera via opening it from the app menu instead of quick open function.

I have already made a customer support ticket but haven´t got a response yet. The good thing is that I still have a valid warranty.

Try if your FP5 does the same thing. Quick open the camera (double click the power) and shoot slo mo. Then see the footage.

Cheers!

I cannot reproduce this. Tried the double-click from both unlocked and locked phone.
I’m on Fairphone OS, current version (FP5.UT2Q.B.125.20250605)
